U will employ your left and right hands a lot trying to get the best positioning to place and turn those 3 bolts and 1 nut. My entire body is sore today, 2 days after this job, my back and the back of my legs sore from all the bending over, my hands and arms scraped, scratched and bruised from the many contortions. It seems impossible! Everything is done by “feel” as u can see nothing. Now, the ugly! When u twist the new pipe in, and into place, u then realize how much bigger it is than the old pipe and u realize u now have even less room to maneuver your hand than before. U feel some degree of relief think you’re halfway there. So after much frustration and time u get everything off. It doesn’t fall to the ground! So, u pull out your magnetic tool and go fishing! You can’t see anything down there so u just pray the tool just picks it up. Then, with the underbody shroud, whatever u drop just disappears. Indeed this job wd have been impossible w/o that magnetic tool. I lost prolly 2, 3 hours just recovering stuff that I dropped. Another thing that wd be great is if u had one of those power ratchets the kind where u press a button to work it vs traditional ratchet that requires back and forth movement, as there is no room. One guy recommended having one of those lighted magnetic retriever tools. Taking off the old inlet pipe is pretty hard. The only thing that would make it reasonable is if u could lift the motor out of the engine bay. The thing that’s so hard and time consuming is the lack of space. Here goes, I’ll start with the bad, this is an extremely difficult install! I wouldn’t advise anyone to DIY this, unless u have child sized hands, and the patience of Job! I took a Friday to do this, gave myself all day and indeed it took almost all day.
